Privacy
The app
Kiikari runs entirely on your Mac. It has no server of its own and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. It does not know that you installed it or that you opened it.
- Your API key is stored in the macOS Keychain and used only to sign requests to Apple. It never leaves your Mac.
- Your data (sales, analytics, reviews) is fetched from Apple and stored locally on your Mac. We never see it.
- The only network destinations Kiikari contacts are Apple's App Store Connect API (
api.appstoreconnect.apple.com), Apple's public app metadata and artwork (itunes.apple.com,*.mzstatic.com), and the European Central Bank for daily currency reference rates (www.ecb.europa.eu). Nothing else.
This mirrors the App Store's privacy label for Kiikari: Data Not Collected. The optional Kiikari Pro purchase is processed entirely by Apple; the app itself still collects nothing.
What Kiikari can and cannot see
Apple's reports contain aggregate counts, not people: units, proceeds, impressions, sessions. There are no names, emails or device identifiers in them, so there are none in Kiikari. When Apple suppresses a small number for privacy, Kiikari shows the suppression honestly rather than guessing.
This website
kiikari.app uses Plausible Analytics to count visits. Plausible is cookieless and collects no personal data: no cookies are set, nothing is stored on your device, and there is no cross-site tracking. It records aggregate page views and which links people click, and nothing that identifies you. You can block it with any content blocker and the site works exactly the same.
